A sticky summer day
Dark clouds fill the sky
Rain beginning to fall
Thunder now rumbling
My mind filled with questions
My heart aching so
Tears falling like the rain
Feeling so empty
Knowing that I lost you
I'm missing you so
Wondering how you are
Hoping you're hurt too
The rain slowly ending
Clouds breaking up now
Sun escaping the gloom
A rainbow appears
My mind on the future
Heart ready to love
Smile forming on my lips
Feeling hopeful now
I'll never forget you
You're a part of me
I'll always care for you
Wishing you the best
I'll go on without you
Knowing what I learned
Not afraid anymore
Looking only forward
