About Me

Well, if you've ventured onto my page, you must be interested in me on some level or another. Most of you already know me quite well, but for those of you who don't, here's a little bit about me.

Lenee

The above picture was taken this past fall.

I was born in July 1976, and I live in North Dakota, in Mayville, with my husband. I grew up on a farm southwest of Portland though, and lived there most of my life. In fact, my Dad has as well...the farm has been in the family since the late 1870s. I lived there with my family, my parents and one younger sister until recently.

I am a senior in college, currently taking a break to make some money and take care of some things. I am a Business Administration major and a Computer Information Systems minor. I have been attending Mayville State University and I will return to school next fall.

I am currently looking for work. I have applied for a few clerical positions and I'm not giving up! Things look promising though. In the past, I have been employed as a Lab Assistant and an Assistant WebMaster, both at Mayville State University. I am very interested in pursuing a career in web design because of the experience and knowledge I have gained with the WebMaster job. *For anyone out there interested in hiring someone to do a web page for them, let me know and I will get back to you.* My husband, Matthew, has been working for Kelly Services out of Grand Forks, ND.

I love anything to do with computers. Well, except when they don't do what I want them to. LOL. But I guess that's beside the point. I actually have fun doing my homepage, writing most of the HTML code myself. I'm starting to branch out on the web design aspect of my life. I'm working on a website that is an informational site for a video game translation group that my husband is involved with. I am also beginning work on a site for a group that does scripting. I hope to make this hobby of mine an at-home business in the near future.

I also love music. I love the Goo Goo Dolls, Celine Dion, Savage Garden, Brian McKnight, and I listen to quite a bit of other stuff too, like Tonic and Matchbox 20, and stuff like that. I listen to a variety of music, from Kenny G to Alice Cooper and Ozzy Osborne. I still love the 80's "hair" bands like Bon Jovi, Poison, etc. Now that's music you can party to. I dislike most country music...although there are a couple songs I really like, and a few I can tolerate. Some country songs I do like are ones by Shania Twain, Sammy Kershaw, and a few others. For the most part though, I'd really rather not listen to it. I was at The Rock Never Stops tour, at the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen, Minnesota in August 1998. The featured bands were Firehouse, Slaughter, Warrant, and Quiet Riot. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I had alot of fun. It just goes to show that Rock is not dead.

I also enjoy reading, even though I don't get to do too much of it. The authors I read most are Stephen King, V.C. Andrews, Anne Rice, Dean Koontz, Michael Crichton, and stuff like that. However, I'll read almost anything as long as it has some value, some purpose for me to read it, or some entertainment in it for me.

The outdoors is also something I enjoy very much. I love walks or bike rides in the country, the stars, sunsets, and just being able to take in nature. I love to just sit outside on the farm, or go for a walk in the country and revel in the beauty of nature. Gazing at the stars at night is also something that I love to do. As you can tell, I'm a romantic at heart, and I find beauty in the little things that some people fail to see.

I never have any idea what to put on this page. I don't want to bore you to tears, and I don't want to give too much information since almost anyone can read this. So if you're still wondering something about me, I guess you're going to have to ask. And I might tell you...if you're lucky. :-)

Well, I don't get the chance to update this page as often anymore, as you can see. Reason being, I'm keeping busy. To tell you everything that's been going on would take forever. However, I feel that my friends out there on the 'net should know that I'm now married. I married Matthew on May 7th, 1999. I am sooooooooo happy!!!! I love him so, so, so very much. :-) If any of you would like to send a gift or some money (hint, hint), it would be very much appreciated! Just kidding of course! I think! LOL. Since then, I've been keeping busy with this and that, such as our trip to Michigan (Matt's home), searching for work, hanging out with friends, and just being newlyweds. Life with us is rarely boring. :-)

These were sent to me by my friend Jeff. Thanks again Jeff!
